New Work: Jayde Perkin

In the midst of this rainy weather, we felt it was time to brighten up the blog with some new work by Drawn in Bristol studio regular Jayde Perkin.  Jayde has really embraced the feeling of summer with her recent illustrations, which are bright and breezy and popping with pastels and bright shades of pink.

This lovely image, which Jayde created for a magazine article about gluten free Italian food, wouldn't look out of place on a delicious Carluccio's menu.

This illustrations makes me want to break out my paperback and head straight for the nearest park (with an umbrella in tow).

Jayde's unique colour palette reveals itself one again in these lovely pot plants, which we caught her painting in the studio last week.

And lastly (but not least), you may remember Jayde's beach-themed birdhouse from our recent Holiday Homes exhibition, painted in a delicious summer palette, but exposing some of the less picturesque realities of the modern day beach scene (think glamorous curvy ladies puffing thick clouds of cigarette smoke, discarded litter and pesky seagulls).
