Upcoming Event: Hamilton House Open Day

We're busily preparing for the Hamilton House Open Day on 14 June, where you'll have the opportunity to wander freely around the building's plentiful artist studios, including the Drawn in Bristol studio.  We've planned a number of exciting things for you to look forward to…

Fancy a go at screen-printing?  We'll be holding some demos where you can have a taster of some printing making using our studio equipment.

To raise some funds for the studio, and to show off our cracking newly decorated kitchen area, we'll be hosting the first Drawn in Bristol pop-up cafe, with cakes lovingly baked by our in-house illustrators.

Wander into the studio of Davy and Kristin McGuire, where they'll be screening one of their masterful paper-craft and projection creations, The Hunter.

Paula will be doing an exclusive reading of her new children's book, Little Lou and the Woolly Mammoth, and holding a craft session where little ones (and big ones) can make a mess and decorate their very own woolly mammoth to take home.

Look forward to workshops from two of our talented studio members.

Make your own greeting cards with Kati Nyilas
Learn how to make beautiful stationery with leaves, foliage, ink and rollers in Kati's popular botanical mono-printing workshop.

Ink and stencils with Sophie Rae
Sophie Rae will be teaching her unique mono-printing technique, by using intricate hand-cut stencils, inks and rollers to create multi-layered works of art.  Have a go, and make something you can take away with you.

We're really excited to show off where we work, and we hope you can make it!  Click on the flyer to find out more, or click here share the Facebook event with your friends.
