Drawn in Bristol illustrator Dawn Cooper was recently featured in one of Digital Arts' fab tutorials, which draws inspiration from botanical illustrators including Katie Scott, Vladimir Stankovic and Nick White, who each share a passion for the natural world.
Dawn talked about her favourite tools and reference material, and explained a bit about her working process.
'Refreshing and changing your resources every now and again can freshen up your illustrations, and introduce you to new styles,' says Dawn. 'Collect a variety of books to use as reference material, and try introducing contemporary colours to give your botanical drawings a modern edge.'
